Greetings from a warm and sunny spring day in Brisbane.

We hope you and your lovely familes had a great summer and the weather was kind for the August Bank Holiday in Blighty. It is festival time again in Brisbane and kicks off on Saturday with the spectacular Riverfire celebration.

Lots has been happening at Chez Chissell as usual, below are some photographs of our latest exploits. There are more pics than text in this issue - but a picture can paint a thousand words as they say? The Chisslets have been working very hard at school this term and so as a special treat we took them to Movie World, a Warner Brothers Theme park on the Gold Coast.

Welcome to Movie World!

The Scooby Gang solved a ghostly mystery.......
And we all watched Shrek in 4D (moving chairs, water squirts and tickling of legs etc.....).

The Hollywood Stunt Driver Show was thrilling

In July, Brisbane adopted all things French and we took the Chisslets into the city to join in with the Bastille Day celebrations (after jolly breakfast feast of Croissants and hot chocolate).

The entertainment was great, with  French music, a Burlesque dancer???? and high fashion. Shame we could not avail of the Champagne Marquee!

Mmm Crepes, Gateaux, Cafe et le Bon bons - Bliss lol

Did you have a good time Ryan? Ryan?

Conor has been very busy too, performing in his first school musical and a Twilight Concert gala performance. Unfortunately the venue was packed and the lighting was dramatically dim and so my photographs are less than ideal - sorry Conor.

Conor is in the second row (from the front) and on the right hand side xxxxxxx

On the warmer winter days we have had lots of BBQ's and picnics in the park with some very dear friends. It is days like these that remind us why we came to Oz even though we still miss you folks very much, particularly for special events like Christenings, gatherings of family and friends and of course cuddles with our nieces, nephews and grand nephew. Your Emails/FCBK posts, postcards and photographs are valued greatly, so keep em comin folks!

Phil has been keeping up with his sporting endeavours such as the Bridge to Brisbane 10km charity run and a 75km charity Cycling Event. Suncorp footy starts again soon and I am sure there will be a triathlon in the offing around Christmas time. We have family heading out to see us very soon, a very special holiday coming up, Olivia's 7th birthday, Halloween and a fancy dress party to attend. Life is never dull at Chez Chissell lol. Happy birthday to Grandad Jim, come and see us soon xxx

We wish you all a mild autumn and that all your little ones enjoy being back at school. Keep safe, be happy and stay well folks.

Sending you all much love and affection, Mr and Mrs C xxx
