I hope you are all keeping well and looking forward to spring. I still cannot get my head around the fact that it is autumn here in Brissy, because the weather is still so great. We have been out and about a lot lately and of course Conor turned 7yrs on the 14th of February. A big thank you for all your lovely cards and presents. He is a very lucky little boy. Phil and I bought him a 10ft trampoline and managed to construct it in time for his party. It went down a treat and tired out our miniature guests quite nicely. After a quick game of Frisbee with the ‘Old’s, everyone retired to the dining room to munch all the goodies, blowout the candles on the cake and partake of the liquid nectar. This got everyone in the mood for a boogie and so we all headed into the playroom and danced and sang the evening away to the delight of our neighbours. I was chuffed that my disco lights survived the crossing over to Oz and so the atmosphere was quite authentic.
Phil’s mum Penny joined our happy clan at the end of February and we showed her the delights of Bris-Vegas and of course Chez Chissell on the bay. We all got up at the crack of dawn to greet granny at the airport and the throughout the journey down the children were incredibly excited. The plane arrived on time and when Penny came through immigration, I could have sworn Phil had something in his eye (hush hush). Poor granny then got whisked around Conor’s school on the way back because he had to go on a school trip and therefore could not have the day off. Below are some pictures detailing some of our antics:

The Chissell's and the Irwin's at Australia Zoo. Getting up close and personal with the Roos and Oprah the Koala.
Relaxing after running around and exploring the Brisbane 'South Bank', following an afternoon of retail therapy with granny.

Soaking up the rays in Wellington Point and sad goodbyes to Granny at the airport.
The last two weeks have simply flown by. Thank you so much for coming Penny, we all miss you terribly. We hope you enjoyed your slice of Aussie life and will come back again soon. Thank you also for babysitting the children, which enabled Phil and I to go out and have a belated wedding anniversary dinner and to catch a movie at the local flicks. For the first time since we landed in Oz. Thank you also to everyone who sent kind wishes and cards to us on National Chissell Day.

I will leave with you a wacky image of our eldest son Conor and his 'Crazy Hair' for the Luekaemia Charity fundraiser at his school. Warmest wishes to you all for a happy, peaceful Easter filled with chocolate delights.
Love always from the family Chissell :-) xxxx
