G'day folks, I hope you are happy and well.
The sun is shining so brightly here that you would be forgiven for thinking that it was the spring/summer season in blighty. The May blossom is blooming already in the garden and the sky is a fabulous shade of blue.
Well folks so much have happened since my last posting. My eldest ankle biter turned six, the re-decorating project has finished and my house has been put on the market and sold in one day. My wee family are still reeling from the shock of how quickly things are moving and we are up to our tired little eyes searching for a suitable international moving company to transport our precious treasures to……. Can you guess?
Yep, we are off to OZ. We are about undertake the biggest adventures of our lives to date and expect to depart these fair shores in June. On National Chissell day (as our friends call Valentine’s Day) my little munchkin became a proud six years old and my dear husband and I had our 9th wedding anniversary. Here comes the cliché where have the years gone? I am getting emotional now as Enrique Iglesias song ‘Hero’ has just come on the radio and it always affects my mood. Hmm anyway we arranged a birthday party at a local venue for my son and he had a ball, as you can see from the picture of him above (sat resplendent on his throne). He adores being with his cousins and grandparents as well as his friends from school. I am dreading the inevitable tearful goodbyes that are soon to come.
My daughter is currently recovering from a nasty flu type bug and consequent allergic reaction to her prescribed medication. I was very concerned when she developed big red lumps and bumps on her body and of course I quickly did the glass test in case she had the dreaded Meningitis. My mother baby sat the children last Tuesday so that Phil and I could attend my son’s parents evening. Apparently he passed recent academic assessments very well and is making great progress. I couldn’t stop myself from shedding a happy tear. My husband reluctantly agreed to watch ‘Ghost Rider’ with me at the flicks afterwards, as I am a Fantasy and Special Effects junky. I enjoyed it but as predictable the plot line was non existent. However it did star the fabulous Nicholas Cage. Then we had a curry in a nearby eatery and caused a stir with the waiters when it became apparent that it was me chomping the Vindaloo and not my husband. A major plus of all the stressful projects lately is that I have lost a shed load of post pregnancy weight and I am back into my size 12’s.
Enough for now folks, take care of yourselves and your loved ones.
